History of the pancake

In my much younger days my mother made the most delicious pancakes from scratch, (all fresh ingredients) then on a very hot skillet.









she would cook them so that they had this skin that I would peel away from the pancake leaving the insides exposed then with her fresh made butter (from our cow) I would spread on the pancake skin then drizzle her fresh made maple syrup on the pancake skin and inside layer of the pancake, I would eat the pancake skin first then finish off the remaining pancake oooooh sooo good!

 

 so of course I continue with her influence on this and many other memorable foods she made for me...
